A wonderful detail, the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Beds allow you to choose among a selection of different pillows. Only the bathrooms manage to exceed such detailed luxury: the baths are decked out in shiny black marble and feature a large bathtub and separate shower.

The Botanica offers both a buffet as well as an à-la-carte menu. The welcoming winter garden is the setting for a Café-Bar – a place to come back to at intervals throughout the day.

 

The open lobby and entrance hall is awe-inspiringly large. However, a beige marble in combination with dark timber create a friendly and casual feel. Anytime you feel like a rest, the Hyde Park offers many quiet spots and picnic areas that are just perfect for a rest. Your energies restored, hop on the nearby monorail for a short, scenic ride to the lively Darling Harbour.

 

Another must-see is, of course, the world-famous Sydney Opera House with its shining white orange-peel roof construction. Should the chance present itself, we warmly recommend visiting a performance of the celebrated Sydney Dance Company.

 

More highlights wait to be explored: Apart from theatres, galleries and chic shopping malls, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, nicknamed “coat hanger”, has to be admired and - by the adventurous - climbed.

 

Those who do not suffer from vertigo can scale the world’s longest arched bridge and stand atop the highest point at 503 metres. The view is spectacular!

 

With a little time to spare, the Blue Mountains are a wonderful daytrip! Those with an explorer’s spirit and desire to be independent can rent a car and self-drive.
