Situated approximately 29 kilometres south east of Windhoek and at an altitude of 1,844 metres, the celebrated wellness hotel GocheGanas sits on a pristine private game reserve of the same name.
The road from Windhoek quickly starts climbing and winds its way through picturesque hills and mountains. Large and heavily decorated wrought-iron gates welcome you to the 60 square kilometres large private game reserve.
The GocheGanas Reserve houses a stunning variety of species. Rhinoceros, cheetahs, read more » leopards, giraffes, zebras and jackals are just some of the highlights. Twenty-one other large game species inhabit the reserve.
The GocheGanas Lodge is a showcase of fine but unobtrusive luxury. Local materials were used to construct the small complex. Both the elegant architecture and the interior design are inspired by the Namibian culture and local arts and crafts.
The sixteen luxurious cottages were sand plastered and topped off with a grass-thatched roof. The ambience is magnificently authentic. It goes without saying that the spa and wellness buildings pick up the same design line.
The GocheGanas Nature Reserve and the Wellness Village were designed and founded by the Stritter family who thus accomplished their life’s passion. Every aspect of the lodge and the reserve is testimony to the Stritter’s love for Namibia and its fascinating nature.

The GocheGanas Lodge’s modern and elegant rooms leave nothing to be desired.
In total, the lodge features 16 luxurious cottages in a quiet setting. The picturesque units all sport the grass-thatched read more » roofs typical for the region. Red brown floor boards and the matching interior design radiate a warm and cosy atmosphere.
Not only the private terrace but even the bathtub commands a breathtaking view of the mountain scenery and pristine nature. Quite possibly, while enjoying a steaming foam bath, a giraffe or other big game will make their appearance.
Every suite includes an en suite bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub under a wide dome light. Should it be too dark to watch the wildlife outside, you can bathe beneath the nigh sky’s sparkling beauty.
A separate toilet and an exciting open-air shower as well as a modern air-conditioning system, television, sound system, mini bar, safe, telephone, internet and a kettle for preparing tea and coffee complete the suite’s luxurious facilities.
The Crown Suite is the GocheGanas largest and most comfortable suites. In fine style, it accommodates up to four guests and even includes a small kitchen. Furthermore, it offers a lounge and dining area with an additional studio couch and TV.
Five Superior Suite cottages feature luxury bathrooms with additional amenities like a bidet. The ten Elegance Suites comprise a large room with a view and a private terrace. Some of the suites and the entire Wellness Village have been designed to cater for the needs of handicapped guests.

Ingo Stritter spared no expenses or trouble to be able to provide his guests with only the best hydro therapies and the associated equipment. He travelled to Germany and the United States carefully choosing state-of-the-art technology.
An example of the treasures he brought back from his travels is the Thalasso whirlpool equipped with more than 250 water massage jets. The whirlpool’s scientifically correct description is Hydroxeur. Thalasso treatments involving saltwater and algae fresh out of the Luderitz Bay are offered.
Anti-stress and relaxation baths are available at the Crystal Bath. The GocheGanas Wellness Village’s Crystal Bath is bliss for body, soul and mind and features magnetic field, light and sound-wave massages.
Another of the Wellness Village’s highlights is the individual Open-Space Massage. The exclusive massage program is enhanced by cosmetic and beauty treatments as well as osteopathic therapies.
The integral and all-encompassing spa therapies include nutrition counselling and personal training. No aspect of the guest’s wellbeing remains uncared for.
Of course, the activity options are more plentiful, the more than 60 square kilometre large private game reserve is perfect for exciting safaris.
