Living

The Chobe Chilwero’s fifteen beautiful thatched-roof deluxe pavilions offer a spacious relaxation area and a beautiful bedroom with a romantic four-poster bed.

 

Enter a fairytale world and make yourself read more » at home. The warm colour scheme and tasteful African art adds a sophisticated and welcoming touch to the ambience.

 

Each chalet is approximately 61 square metres in size and designed to accommodate two guests. The fine facilities include details like mosquito screens, air-conditioning, fans, electricity (of course) and a hairdryer.

 

The bathrooms – or better put “bath temples” – are a dream and completely individually designed. The units all feature a large bathtub set into the floor. Stretch out, soak in the warm water and inhale the fine fragrances, which are provided as a courtesy.

 

For a quick wash with a warm breeze caressing your skin, you can step outside and try the exciting open-air shower. Your small terrace opens onto the beautiful gardens and looks down onto the Chobe River beyond.

 

The main building offers a souvenir shop, a lounge with a fireplace, a library, a business centre, a wine cellar and an elegant dining room. The dining room opens onto a spacious veranda commanding a stunning view.

 

The idyllic pool area is beautifully set amidst trees and flowers and provides refreshment whenever the heat becomes too oppressive. The original wood-fired oven cooks delicious pizzas and other snacks.

Activities

The lodge runs game drives into the Chobe Park twice a day. The park is world famous for its enormous elephant population. However, there are many more animals that you will be able to observe in this unspoilt environment.

 

For example, you can expect to see impalas and kudus, herds of buffaloes, lions, zebras and apes. Boat tours are another variety to explore Botswana’s untouched nature. The tours will introduce you to hippos, crocodiles and to an amazing variety of birds.
