Tailor-made Hue Travel Experiences -

A journey through Vietnam’s history

North of the Cloud Pass, in central Vietnam, lies the imperial city Hue. It radiates unrivalled charm and nestles scenically between rice fields and hills on the banks of the Perfume River. Hue is famous for its legends, its magical setting and cultural treasures – an intriguing mélange! Its enchantment draws you deep into a fantastic world of magnificent gardens, hidden ponds, temples and pagodas. The most celebrated of the pagodas, and for that one of Vietnam’s most applauded buildings and spiritual oasis, lies on an elevation just above the Perfume River. The octagonal Thien Mu Pagoda rises 21 metres above the ground and is a hallmark of Vietnamese architectural art. Protected by a ten kilometres long wall, the Hue Citadel lies on the left banks of the Perfume River and was declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1993. Behind yet another defensive wall, the interior harbours the ancient Imperial City with the sumptuous palace and the Purple Forbidden City at its heart. Stroll through the ancient facilities at your leisure and soak up the peculiar, slightly melancholic atmosphere that lingers between the ancient buildings constructed in harmony with the laws of astrology and geomancy. Apart from the sensational historic monuments and emperors’ tombs, Hue boasts wonderful white sand beaches on the glittering South China Sea. And to wash off salt and sand, just visit some of the mineral springs for a relaxing and rejuvenating bath. Last but not least, Hue is celebrated for its culinary delights: The locals consider fine cuisine a form of art. The local specialities are straight-forward but elegant with special importance being placed on the perfect harmony of spices and condiments. Take a journey to the heart and soul of Vietnam. Learn about the distant country’s age-old and proud history and take some time off on the beach! It will be a pleasure for the INTOSOL team to assist you with the planning and organisation, putting all our experience and knowledge at your service!
