In the day, we highly recommend visiting the many hidden bay for the classic sun, sand and sea thrills. Those that enjoy fishing will be delighted by the great deep-sea fishing grounds.
The ocean has plenty more to offer: Race before the wind on a sailing boat or explore the islands and bays on a romantic kayak trip for two. And then, of course, there is a world of wonder beneath the waves.
A mask and snorkel are your ticket to the colourful underwater world. Alternatively, you may don full diving gear to get to the bottom of things. One of the most popular diving sites is the famous Rainbow Warrior ship wreck.
Having explored the ocean and the seaside to your heart's full content, tie up your hiking boots to discover the hinterland. The New Zealand nature is unique and strikingly beautiful.
