Tailor-made Viti Levu Beach Holidays -

Fiji Traditions & Modern Luxury

The largest of the Fiji Islands, beautiful Viti Levu is also the hub for the entire archipelago. Translated, Viti Levu means nothing else than “Large Fiji”. The island is 150 kilometres long and 100 wide. The capital Suva is located on the south-east coast. However, most visitors arrive at the International Airport Nadi located in the south-west. Finally, Lautoka is the departure point for most of the ferries that connect the network of islands. Viti Levu and the capital Suva also house the majority of the Fijian population and the cheerful greeting “Bula!” is frequently heard on the streets. Fijians, Tongans, Indians, Samoans and Chinese all live side by side on the island. As soon as you start heading inland, leaving the city behind, the settlements become sparse. Lush rainforest and vast sugar cane plantations are the dominant landscapes. And then, of course, there are the volcanoes, the largest of which is Mount Victoria, towering 1300 metres above sea level. Five rivers criss-cross the fertile land. With water comes life and with life agriculture. The river valleys are a rich pantry filled with rice, pineapple and exotic fruits and vegetables. Everything is colourful and the land dotted with ancient temples that wait to be explored. Or visit some of the traditional villages with their thatched-roof bures, where time seems to have stopped a few decades ago. The beauty on land is matched, possibly even exceeded, by that beneath the waves. The Coral Coast in the South is a natural playground for enthusiastic divers. Sink beneath the glittering surface and observe turtles, sharks and barracudas from up close. Afterwards, stretch out on a warm sand beach and unwind in fine style. Rested and ready for some action? The spectacular Fire-walking introduces you to the nerve-tingling sensation of walking across red-hot coals with bare feet. A memory that will certainly stick! Viti Levu's most remarkable and luxurious hotels are located on the peninsula Denarau at only twenty minutes driving distance from the international airport. The beaches are strikingly gorgeous and a first-class golf course allows you to practise the gentlemen's sport in a scenic backdrop. INTOSOL will take you on an unforgettable journey to the world's beautiful far end. A few days in the sun and the natural Fijian cheerfulness and lust for life become infectious. Bula!
