Not long ago, the Hilton Maldives Resort & Spa in the Ari Atoll was re-branded the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island. Not only the name changed: The Conrad Maldives was completely refurbished in 2005 and now ranks among the Maldives’ most luxurious resorts.

 

Rangali Island is split into two separate islets, both of which accommodate the luxury hotel’s facilities. A five hundred metre long jetty connects the two picture-perfect parts.

The main island, with the complicated name Rangalifinolhu, accommodates the tasteful Beach Villas as well as the resort’s central installations. Nevertheless, Rangalifinolhu is comparatively small, measuring only 600 by 350 metres.

 

The Water Villas are all located off the second island’s immaculate shores. Rangali Island is 750 metres long and 75 metres wide.

 

Finally yet importantly, the most recent addition to the Conrad Maldives Rangali is the spectacular Spa Retreat, which has been built on platforms out into the lagoon.

Living

When the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island Resort was refurbished, greatest importance was placed on creating an appealingly modern but cosy design.

 

The Beach Villas do not only feature an ingenious architecture read more » but also surprise with a tasteful interior. One of the secrets to the successful design could be the harmonious combination of fine textiles with natural materials.

 

As the name suggests, the Beach Villas are located directly on Rangalifinolhu’s beautiful beach. 150 square metres are ample space for a large, combined lounge / bedroom plus a walk-in closet.

 

A small private garden is part of the facilities just like the semi-open bathroom complete with an open-air shower. A CD-player, telephone, ceiling ventilator and a modern air-conditioning system are further amenities. A TV-set is available on request. Tea and coffee preparing facilities and a mini bar provide refreshments.

 

The Deluxe Beach Villa is stunning 300 square metres large! In addition to the standard Beach Villa’s facilities, the Deluxe Villa features a private pool set in the unit’s garden.

 

The Water Villas are 74 square metres large and include a terrace that grants direct access to the lagoon’s welcoming water. All Water Villas are constructed on platforms out on the lagoon and feature a stunning view no matter which way you turn.

 

A Water Villa upgrade, the Superior Water Villas is also 74 square metres large but features the additional luxury of a private Jacuzzi set into the terrace.

 

Step up the luxury by another notch: The Deluxe Water Villa is considerably larger, featuring 115 square metres … plenty of room for a separate living room as well as a sundeck with Jacuzzi.

 

Yet a little larger with 119 square metres, the Premier Water Villa meets and exceeds even these fine standards. The superb units offer everything the discerning traveller demands.

 

However, the ultimate in Water Villa luxury is the Sunset Water Villa. Set in a private part of the lagoon, the stunning 250 square metre large unit is not only highly private but also features gracious elegance and fine comforts – the perfect setting for a honeymoon!

 

The Conrad Maldives’ Spa Water Villas are something uniquely special. Set with the Spa Retreat, the villas’ 150 square metres include luxurious facilities as well as a private treatment room for therapies and beauty treatments.

 

Of course, modern amenities like an air-conditioning system, CD-player, TV, mini bar, tea and coffee preparing facilities, wireless phone and a safe are also at your disposition. Two private sundecks are the right place to the let the tropical sun caress you skin, occasionally going for a quick dip in the lagoon.
