Gentle Indian and Middle East style influences infuse the ambiance with an exotic and authentic flair. The different villa categories accommodate the needs and expectations of every guest.


However, all villas share the quality furniture and state-of-the-art electronic gadgets like an iPod, internet connection, TV and DVD player, Nespresso machine and mini bar.


Moreover, every villa features both an indoor and an outdoor shower as well as a large bathtub perfect for indulging in a foam-topped bath accompanied by a bottle of champagne.


The Pool Villa is generous 133 square metres large and lies carefully hidden amidst the islands vegetation. As the name suggest, guests lodged at the Pool Villa enjoy the luxury of a private pool.


Two Beach Villas are located on 189 square metres and include a separate bedroom and living room pavilion, a pool and a private terrace leading down to the ocean.


A graceful wood jetty takes you out over the water to the 166 square metres large Water Villa. Set apart not only from the resort but also from the island, the highly private villa commands a magnificent view out of the infinite Indian Ocean.


Unique on the Maldives, the Tree House Villas are built on stilts amidst the treetops of the island’s pristine vegetation. Luxurious and private, the 218 square metre large unit sports a magnificent view of the ocean behind beyond the trees.


The Twin Beach Villas are set up as two connected units and are the ideal solution for families or small groups of friends.


Last but not least, the Shangri-La’s Villingili’s top of the range units: The Water Villa Muthee extends over 570 square metres and luxury par excellence may also be found at the Villa Laalu, stunning 957 square metres large and featuring two bedrooms.

Facing hard choices at the Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort & Spa: Kick back and relax in the wonderful ambiance of the resort or set out to explore the paradise all around you?


Take endless strolls read more » down the beach or go for a gentle trot down the special jogging paths. Another highly recommendable option is to take an eight minute boat shuttle ride to cycle the 17 km long road connecting the five neighbouring islands.


The island’s unique feature is the unusually lush vegetation. Coconut palms, Indian Banyan as well as many more species and three natural lagoons can be explored along the trails.


In sharp contrast to the lush green of the island are the blindingly white sand beach and the shimmering expanse of the turquoise Indian Ocean.


The ocean, of course, lends itself to countless water sports. Have fun on the water snorkelling, kayaking, windsurfing, sailing or deep-sea fishing. Needless to say, you may also explore the underwater world on a diving trip.


Back on land, the Villingili Resort offers its guest two tennis courts and a modern gym equipped with state-of-the-art training machines.


Kids are thrilled by the resort’s “Adventure Zone“ while mummy and daddy unwind at the CHI Spa. The CHI is set out like a small village within the resort.
