The rooms are beautifully decked out in contemporary Polynesian design that incorporates plenty of wood. The refined luxury becomes apparent at a second glance: Spacious 42 square metres large, the rooms are all equipped with air-conditioning and a king-sized or two single beds.

 

The ensuite bathroom sports a separate shower as well as a hair-dryer. A telephone, mini bar, safe, tea and coffee maker and TV complete the facilities. Depending on the accommodation category, your unit offers a balcony or terrace that looks out either on the sparkling lagoon or the lush, tropical gardens.

 

Certainly the Le Méridien Tahiti's finest choice, the Overwater Bungalows have been built on raised platforms out in the lagoon. Including a spacious living area and private terrace, enjoy the crystal-clear water just beyond your threshold.

Activities

The Le Méridien Tahiti's most remarkable feature is the quiet, peaceful setting promising supreme relaxation. However, there is also plenty to do and golfing enthusiasts will be delighted to learn that read more » the beautifully designed Atimaono Golf Club is a mere twenty minutes away.

 

Having been designed by none other than Robert Baldock as early as 1968, the time-honoured 18-hole golf course does not only spoil enthusiastic golfers with challenging fairways but also pleases those that enjoy a quiet moment on the clubhouse's terrace, relishing the beautiful environment.

 

Of course, the Le Méridien has plenty more to offer: Sports, both on land and the water keep you entertained. Two tennis courts, a fully-equipped gym and an aqua gym are at your disposition.

 

Needless to say that Tahiti boasts some of the best dive site in the world. The PADI and CMAS dive centre offers a range dive trips and courses. The shallow lagoon certainly is a great location to get started: It is alive with colourful coral and reef fish darting about.

 

And then there are the canoes, outrigger canoes, paddle boats and Hobie Cats for hire. Other activities include deep-sea fishing, windsurfing and water-skiing. There is plenty of fun to be had on the ocean!

 

However, you may also decide to have a quiet day, idly daydreaming by the South Sea's largest swimming pool. The pool is vast 2000 square metres large and flanked by plenty of sunloungers.
