Living

The Jean Michel Cousteau Fijian Islands Resort offers a total of only twenty five typical Fijian burés that nestle most idyllically amidst the lush tropical green of a former coconut plantation. Generously read more » spaced apart, the units are perfectly private.

 

Natural and local materials were used for the construction, allowing the units to blend with their surroundings. Wicker furniture adds another touch of cosiness to the ambience.

 

Sink into the extra large soft beds and wait for South Seas dreams to come. A ceiling ventilator sends a refreshing breeze blowing through your home away from home and the floor to ceiling windows flood the interior with light.

 

The bathrooms are a design delight: Decked-out in an Italian style, the units offer two washbasins, a bathtub as well as a separate shower. Wrap yourself into a soft towel and dry off on your private terrace that commands a breathtaking view of the Pacific or the flowering gardens.

The Point Reef Bures lie tucked away in an extra lonely spot and offer a separate bed- and living room. The Honeymoon Point Reef Bure's additional feature is a private Jacuzzi on the terrace.

Activities

The Jean Michel Cousteau Fijian Islands Resort offers you a special activity every day. Mondays are dedicated to the coral reef. The day starts with snorkelling. On Tuesdays you may step into the shoes of a Fijian and experience everyday island life on a visit to the village. On Siga Lotulevu, otherwise known as Wednesday, you may explore the resort's mangrove forests.

 

Plant your own mangrove tree and learn more about the harsh environmental conditions where the ocean meets the land. A day later, on Thursday, you may then learn more about the island's lush rainforests. Hike the twisting trails and take a refreshing dip in a pool hidden deep in the jungle.

 

Friday is coconut day! There certainly is more to coconuts than cracking the hart shell, although you will be opening quite a few. A healthy appetite is a requirement!

 

Saturday you may travel to Savusavu just in time for the markets. Savour the exotic sights and smells and try the local fruit and specialities. Remember to pick up a souvenir or present for your loved ones back home.
