read more »Doubtlessly, the mighty falls are the national park’s chief attraction. It is an awe-inspiring sight to see the large river take the steep tumble, churning the water into froth far below. Some numbers: The river takes a staggering 82 metres drop. Per second 6500m³ go over the edge.
The Brazilian side of the falls offers viewing platforms commanding a perfect view of the entirety of the falls. Moreover, the hotel offers early morning and late evening guided tours. Our recommendation goes to the night tours. If you happen to visit on a clear night with a full moon you may be able to observe a rare moon-rainbow. Marvellous!
There is more to see in the national park. Take a kayak out onto the river and paddle deep into the rainforest. Just take care not to go close to the falls’ edge. Guided trekking tours introduce you to the diverse ecosystem with its peculiar wildlife.
