"Best of Bali" Six Day Itinerary

The Best of a Magical Island

Explore the best of Bali on a six-day luxury tour with INTOSOL! Allow us to introduce you to the fascinating Indonesian island, its enchanting beauty and cultural wealth. On the first day, you arrive at the international airport Denpasar. Denpasar is located in Bali’s South and is the island’s second largest city. Already waiting for you, your helpful guide will welcome you to Bali and take you to the first hotel, the luxurious Jimbaran Puri Bali. The rest of the day is left to your disposal: Rest from the long journey or set off for a first impression. Relish the warm sun on your skin and rest your eyes on the magnificent landscape. Day two is dedicated to fine arts and crafts. You will start with a visit to the village Tohpati, famous for its sophisticated, handmade batik art. Batik is an original Indonesian technique for dying fabric. Shapes, patterns and designs are first applied with liquid wax. Later, you continue your journey to Celuk, where Bali’s most renowned silversmiths practice their trade. Batik and silver are followed by elaborate woodcarvings traditionally produced in Mas. Again, you pick up the road and continue to the city Ubud, Bali’s cultural hub. The Agung Rai Museum of Art exhibits works from Balinese, Indonesian and foreign artist. Having gained a first overview, the arts fair is the perfect opportunity to put your bargaining skills to the test and reward yourself with a precious souvenir. Last but not least, you will visit the impressive Puri Saren Palace – home of the royal family from 1800 to 1917. As a long but wonderful day slowly draws to an end, you can decide whether you prefer to take it slow at the comfortable Alila Ubud Hotel or complete a day of arts with a performance of traditional dances at the Puri Saren Palace. After a restful night, day three begins underground at the famous Goa Gajah, also known as the Elephant Cave. A magnificent carved entrance leads inside. From the holy cave you pass on to the worldly court of justice: The Kerta Gosa is located in the Klungkung government district and boast a most intriguing architecture. Further down the road, you pass through the perfectly charming fishing village Kusamba before arriving at the Bat Temple Goa Lawah. The last stop of the day is the ancient mountain village Tenganan, one of only a handful that still preserve their pre-Hindu culture. The local Bali Aga people will introduce you to their fascinating culture! Finally, you leave Tenganan and head for the supremely elegant Alila Manggis Hotel. On day four you visit the celebrated water palace Taman Tirta Gangga, which translates into “Holy water from the Ganges”. The graceful architecture incorporates three levels, numerous lakes, ponds, fountains, flowers, fish and even a swimming pool. It is a place for breathing deeply and opening the soul. Later, you continue to Putung, which features a breathtaking panoramic view of the East Coast beaches. Back on the road, you continue to the Besakih Temple set on the slopes of the holy Mount Agung. It is Bali’s most important temple. Scenic views galore: In Kintamani you enjoy a wonderful panorama of Mount Batur and the Caldera Sea. You keep on heading to the North Coast and Pemuteran. Your hotel for the night will be the luxurious Matahari Beach Resort. Day five is completely at your disposal! Kick back and let your soul swing free to digest the many impressions from the past days or, with energy to spare, set off to explore Bali’s Northwest. Take a stroll to admire the lush nature or visit the village Pemuteran. Another idea would be to join a snorkelling or diving trip that heads out to Menjangan Island. Take a peek beneath the surface. The underwater world is inspiring, colourful and vibrant! Day six is unfortunately already the last day of your Bali Deluxe itinerary. Take it slow in the morning with a leisurely breakfast before a transfer takes you back to Bali’s South. Once more, you will be driving through the romantic landscape with its lush vegetation and terraced rice fields. Time to say your goodbyes. Of course, you may also consider staying for a luxurious while longer at one of the outstanding INTOSOL Beach Resorts. Or skip across to another island for more Indonesian adventure, for example, to Java or Sulawesi. It will be a pleasure for your INTOSOL travel consultant to provide more information and ideas!
