Breathtakingly beautiful nature, superb yoga teachers and luxurious retreats are the essence of YOGAexperience Africa. Those in search of peace, quiet, wide open spaces and room to breathe freely will find the answer with YOGAexperience Africa. Among others, the programme includes yoga lessons, meditations sessions, silent walks, lectures, healing chanting and green food all coupled with some of the world’s most heart-touchingly scenic landscapes.

YOGAexperience Africa is an experience for body, mind and soul, a sensual understanding that will stay with you long past the duration of your holiday. South Africa has been described as the cradle of mankind. “The journey takes you to the origin of life and back home to yourself”, is how many travellers have put it before. Enlightenment cannot be guaranteed. However, practicing yoga at the heart of Africa’s pristine and untamed nature is something that touches your soul. Visit South Africa’s most charming yoga retreats and refined hotels participating in lessons led by internationally acclaimed instructors.

Meditations sessions and healing chants are accompanied by the crackle of the campfire and infinite starry heavens above. The experience also includes lectures by scientists and yoga experts as well as private fireside talks. Prepare healthy meals together, picking up African cuisine secrets, and settle down to eat in company at a long table. On a fine day why not enjoy a picnic outside combined with a guided walking meditation (silent walks)?

YOGAexperience Africa is more than its parts: more than yoga and more than African nature. It is a fusion of many elements that all combine to leave a lasting memory and effect. YOGAexperience Africa includes all activities and meals. On your request, it is a pleasure for us to supplement your reservation with spa visits and massages.

You will spend the first three days of your journey in Cape Town – one of the world’s most beautiful cities. At the elegant Tintswalo Atlantic, you start every new day with a yoga lesson by the sea. Throughout the day, silent meditations walks introduce you to the surroundings and take you up Cape Town’s landmark, the Table Mountain.

Lend our gourmet chef a hand preparing green food in the open kitchen and join the others to dine in company. Finish with a cup of tea and a chat by the open fireplace. Towards the end of your stay in Cape Town, step out onto the terrace, which commands a breathtaking view of the Atlantic, and wind down for the guided meditation and healing chanting.

Leaving Cape Town behind, you head for the Sanbona Wildlife Reserve and the Dwyka Tented Lodge. The African savannah will become the setting for both game drives in open safari vehicles and yoga sessions. It is a perfect combination! Experience South Africa’s wildlife and, later, practice yoga in a truly unique setting, for example, a dried out salt pan or a hill overlooking the rugged but beautiful landscape.Nature is the key element: Dine beneath South Africa’s wide open night sky or enjoy a breakfast picnic out in the bush. The natural splendour of your surroundings helps open soul and senses.

The last destination of YOGAexperience Africa is Bushmans Kloof. Immerse yourself in the millennia old history and tradition of the Bushmen. Silent walks lead you to age-old cave paintings. Observe the traditional dances, meditate by the open fire and enjoy a shared Boma dinner beneath the Southern Cross’ blinking stars. Of course, there will be plenty of yoga sessions amidst the pristine nature as well as blissful massages applied by caring hands at the exclusive spa.

The Yogaexperience Africa concludes with your energies restored and the soul and mind filled to the brim with new impressions. Contact our experienced team of travel consultants for extensions or additional information. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
