Abundant wood and glass fronts do not only create a bright, sunshiny atmosphere but capture some of the sun's energy to reduce traditional heating. Moreover, the 41 rooms and suites all have an adobe divider that maintains warmth in the cold months and naturally regulates the room temperature.
Of course, the mountain setting requires additional heating. However, again, the Vigilius Mountain Resort sets the standards. A zero emission biomass power-plant produces energy and heat. Consequently, the Vigilius Mountain Resort has received an award for its eco-friendliness by WWF Italy.
