The Plettenberg Bay is a holiday maker’s paradise characterised by unsurpassed beauty and its intact ecosystem. A large range of activities will let your time at this stunning place pass far too quickly.

 

The read more » first and most obvious attraction is the exquisite beach. The golden sand and the chance to swim next to the dolphins in the constant, rolling surf make this place truly special.

 

Several sports options are at your disposal: windsurfing, parasailing, diving and, for the more adventurous, sky diving above the bay can all easily be arranged. Those preferring to take to the sky in a less adrenaline pumping style will enjoy a very worthwhile scenic flight.

 

Golfers can improve their handicap on the greens of the Plettenberg Bay Country Club while nature enthusiasts will be stunned by the variety of the local flora and fauna.

 

A visit to the oldest maritime nature reserve on the entire African continent, the Tsitsikamma National Park, is not to be missed.

 

Discover the fantastic hiking along the Otter Trail or hike as far as the Storm River Mouth Suspension Bridge spanning the river where it flows into the Indian Ocean. Take care not to become seasick on the 77 metres long and 7 metres high bridge.

 

Whether it is rafting or abseiling that you fancy, a host of exciting activities is being offered at the Storm River. Are you bold enough to dare the bungee jump from the Bloukrans Bridge and risk the long drop of 216 metres?

 

Considerably less nerve-racking is a visit to the nearby Knysna Elephant Park where you should pay the locals a visit: Harry, Sally and Duma are looking forward to meeting you and please remember to bring them a little snack.

 

Monkeyland is not a day care for your children even though they will love it. It is the world’s first protected sanctuary for wild monkeys. Both Monkeyland and the Knysna Elephant Park are only at a few kilometres distance from your hotel and especially recommendable for children.
