River Manor Hotel


Set on the oak fringed banks of the Eerste River, the historic River Manor Country Hotel is a truly magnificent sight. Conveniently located, it is situated at only a few minutes’ distance from Stellenbosch and its many museums, cafés, restaurants and galleries.

The hotel features 16 generous rooms of various categories in the original River Manor and further eight rooms in the adjacent historic Moederloon Residence, the most recent addition to the luxurious complex.

Sitting on beautifully kept grounds, the hotel’s lush gardens and the two swimming pools are the perfect backdrop to unwind. Ultimate relaxation may also be indulged in at the River Manor’s elegant Spa Centre.

Every unit features a separate bathroom with a shower, TV, hair dryer, safe, telephone, ventilator and even an internet connection.


The fine rooms can be divided into three basic categories: Standard (slightly smaller), Classic and Superior.


The Superior Rooms include both a shower and a comfortable bathtub, in some cases even an authentic Victorian tub. Moreover, all Superior Rooms feature air-conditioning. One of the Superior Rooms can also be converted to a triple room.

Apart from the River Manor Hotel’s facilities like the exclusive spa, the enticing swimming pool and the lush gardens, the region offers plentiful diversion.
