Living

The Mushara Lodge’s ten spacious thatched-roof cottages are beautifully arranged in a sweeping semi-circle around the sparkling pool. Each unit offers maximum privacy.

The two most exclusive Mushara Villas are the lodge’s finest accommodation option. Luxurious and private, the villas are characterised by their classic elegance.

 

Every detail in the 140 square metres large villas has been lovingly and tastefully designed, from the private library right through to a silver candle snuffer in the en suite bathroom.

 

A modern air-conditioning system ensures agreeable temperatures inside your sumptuous quarters. Refreshments may also be had from the well-stocked mini bar. Would you care for a tune filling the villa with life? A sound system has been installed and the music collection covers everything from Santana to Mozart.

Activities

As you would expect, the Mushara Lodge’s principal attractions are the exciting safaris at the Etosha National Park. Etosha stands for roughly 22270 square kilometres of wonderfully wild arid bush, salt read more » pans, savannah grass lands and exotic wildlife.

 

Etosha is home to stunning variety of species. 114 mammals, 340 bird (two thirds of which migrate) and 110 reptile species inhabit the park. With such a long menu to choose from, quite a number of predators also prowl the Etosha Park. Incidentally, two safaris per day are included in the accommodation for INTOSOL guests.

 

Especially the waterholes are a great place to observe game. Lions, elephants, cheetahs, elands, springboks and red hartebeests are just some of the species that are frequently spotted on safari.

 

Both the White and the Black Rhinoceros inhabit the park – both species are awe-inspiring. Well-trained and experienced rangers accompany the safaris and ensure a safe experience that is as educative as it is entertaining and adventurous.

 

Other exciting alternatives to the standard game drives are night safaris or guided safari walks. The wild can be experienced at close distance and at a more leisurely pace on the walks. The night safaris focus on nocturnal wildlife.

 

At night, having returned from the wilderness, it is the custom to sit down with the other guests and the rangers exchanging safari experiences. On a fine night, the crackling campfire sets the appropriate mood.
