A fireplace provides warmth and flickering light and a Bose iPod sound system provides the background music. Moreover, the modern facilities also include wireless internet access and an air-conditioning system.

 

Generous 232 square metres large, the Lesedi and Ngwedi Suites – the so-called light and moon suites – are decked out in warm, ochre hues and decorated with local art.

 

The architecture’s intriguing concept seamlessly connects the suite’s interior with the wildly beautiful outdoors. The Ngwedi Suite’s most noteworthy feature is the free-standing copper bathtub.

 

Sepheri, translated from the local dialect, means as much as “secret”. Unravel all of the refined unit’s secrets that abound on 307 square metres. Sepheri offers accommodation for up to four guests.

 

An upstairs bedroom, complete with a terrace, commands a stunning view of the surroundings. Another highlight is the outdoor shower – just perfect for a quick wash after a splash in the pool or to rinse off the day’s dust below the blinking stars.

Another option is fishing the Groot Marico River – an activity that offers the added benefit of being able to admire the seemingly so sluggish hippopotami.

 

Later at night, gaze at the bright stars through the lodge’s powerful telescope, one of the largest privately owned telescopes in South Africa. With hardly any artificial light sources in the vicinity and no pollution, the view is spectacular!

 

Offering a lot more than “just“ stars and wildlife, the Molori also boasts golfing as an activity option. Ninety minutes by car or just twenty minutes by helicopter take you to two challenging golf courses.
