The Moremi Game Reserve lies in the heart of the Okavango Delta, and was the first nature preserve to be recognized by the indigenous people of the area, and not by the colonial powers.
Khwai is famous for its high density of wild animals, many of which can actually be seen as you sit on your own comfortable terrace outside your tent.
In this extraordinary region you’ll find elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, cheetahs and African wild dogs at home. You’ll also observe large numbers of different native birds. Right in the neighbourhood of the lodge itself you can catch sight of wild birds and birds of prey.
