Living

The Hog Hollow Country Estate’s twelve individual and tastefully designed rooms all command a stunning view or the Matjies River Gorge, the lush forest and the Tsitsikamma Mountains.

 

Having been cleverly read more » furnished following an African design line, the rooms, spread out in the garden and clustered around the mail building, are dominated by earthy ochre hues, natural fabrics and artefacts from local artisans and the North East of Africa.

 

Each room features a private wooden deck accommodating comfortable wooden furniture and a hammock. The view out over the gorge and the forest is spectacular. The bathrooms are equipped with either a bathtub or a shower, some feature both. In the winter months, some rooms offer the additional comfort of an open fireplace.

 

At the Hog Hollow guests can choose between four different room categories: six single floor rooms offer an open fireplace and, of course, a private bathroom.

 

Furthermore, three two floor rooms accommodate the bedroom on the upper level while the lounge and bathroom are situated downstairs.

 

Originally a water reservoir, the Round House nowadays features a lounge with an open fireplace downstairs and an en suite bedroom upstairs.

 

Last but not least, the elegant Forest Suites are a separate cottage each. Panoramic French doors allow access to the spacious wooden deck commanding a breathtaking view which is why all guests hold these comfortable suites in high esteem.
