Your trip takes you first to Cape Town, where a rental vehicle will be waiting at the airport. A little down the road, your first stop will be the Santa Maria Beach House in Bloubergstrand, Cape Town. The Santa Maria Beach House does not only boast a setting directly on the beach but also extravagant facilities and a breathtaking view of Cape Town’s world famous landmark, the Table Top Mountain.
After having spent unforgettable days in the Cape Town region, your journey takes you to the Whale Coast, a hot suggestion being a stay at the Grootbos Nature Reserve. The region offers countless activities like whale watching and diving. The combination at the Grootbos Reserve is just perfect: there are the thrills of the ocean as well as the reserve’s stunning diversity coupled with state-of-the-art accommodation.
Farther down the celebrated Garden Route, you arrive at the EdgeHouse No. 6 – a design masterpiece. Clinging to the cliffs, it offers an unobstructed view of the Knysna River and the Outeniqua Mountains. Start the day with a few easy laps in the infinity pool or go for a spin on the EdgeHouse’s mountain bikes. Later in the day, why not play a round of golf on the Simola Course.
The EdgeHouse No. 6 does not only appeal to sportsmen. Romantic souls and nature enthusiasts will be equally delighted. Sip a glass of ice-cold champagne on the free-floating viewing platform or request to have your bed set up beneath the starry night sky. After a few nights, with a heavy heart but with great things to look forward to, you leave the EdgeHouse No. 6 en route to Kichaka – your luxury safari lodge in the malaria-free, Big 5 Eastern Cape Wildlife Reserve.
The Kichaka Lodge is something special… not only thanks to its superb setting and abundant wildlife but also thanks to its personalised and highly professional guest service. After many unforgettable experiences your journey through South Africa draws to an end. You leave the Kichaka Lodge for the short trip (less than one hour) to the Port Elizabeth Airport.
