La Digue Island LodgeThe La Digue Island Lodge, currently doubtlessly the best hotel on La Digue, is situated directly on the world famous beach Anse La Réunion. Lush tropical gardens, exotic plants and towering palm trees surround the Island Lodge.
Please note that La Digue to date does not offer ultimately exclusive, top of the range hotels like they are found on Praslin and Mahé. While the facilities and comforts offered at the La Digue Island Lodge are certainly the island’s best and exceed most travellers’ expectations, some restrictions have to be anticipated.
Nevertheless, a visit to the breathtakingly beautiful La Digue constitutes a highlight of any Seychelles holiday. Skipping La Digue’s awe-inspiring nature and pristine beaches renders any trip to this part of the world incomplete.
The La Digue Island Lodge is ideally situated for exploring the island either on foot or by bike. It is also the only hotel located directly on the beach.
For a long time now our discerning clients have been commenting most positively on the hotel’s attentive and friendly service. The Island Lodge’s excellent restaurant holds its own position among the Seychelles’s restaurants specialising in the delectable Creole cuisine.
The dining experience is further enhanced by the magnificent view of the neighbouring island Praslin. Sip a sundowner, watch the sun sink low over Praslin and let your toes play with the natural sand floor. It is a piece of paradise: the golden light, the warmth, the excellent drinks and the relaxing, easygoing atmosphere.
The Island Lodge’s inviting pool is perfect for a few early morning laps or a refreshing dip to counter the tropical heat. A pool bar serves snacks and drinks.
A diving school offering both courses and excursions for certified divers is directly connected to the La Digue Lodge, the only hotel on the island that offers this service.
Despite the damages El Niño caused, the Seychelles’ coral reefs still present a magic underwater world and each dive is a fantastic experience. Fish, belonging to hundreds of species, are incredibly abundant in these waters.
