Welcome to the Katavi National Park – nature and safari paradise! Remoteness, prairie, vast open spaces and hardly any human inhabitants … the Katavi is the perfect setting for observing wildlife, which remains unaffected by human presence.

Sightings are guaranteed, on safari or even just relaxing on your private veranda. The park is famous for its wildlife: buffalo herds, elephants, bathing hippos, giraffes, zebras, lions and leopards inhabit the park. Daily safaris and game drives introduce you to the inspiring flora and fauna.

The adventurous may join guided safari hikes. Penetrate deeper into the wilderness than any vehicle would permit. The hikes are an intense experience, the slower pace allowing details to shift into focus.

Another unique experience are the Nights Out In The Bush. An experienced guide will accompany you to a suitable wilderness location of your choice. Roll out a mattress, set up a mosquito net and tend to the aromatic bush dinner cooking on the fire!

However, certain amenities are nevertheless in place and you may even enjoy a hot shower in the wilderness. A night out in the bush is a safe but incomparably romantic adventure.

However, a typical African atmosphere can also be enjoyed back at the main camp. Gather around the fire at night and exchange safari adventure stories while sipping a glass of wine or twirling a brandy… the sweet, old-fashioned delights of Africa!
