Afterwards, the groom is brought to the same island in a small boat, where his bride-to-be is already waiting for him. Rhythmical drumming and the hoots of shells, which are made by Polynesian musicians, accompany the ceremony. The knot is tied after some sea water has been spilled over the hands of the newly-weds and the traditional words have been said.
